Some things in football are hard to name.
This is an attempt at the words.
Not just what happened. What was happening.
Football gives us goals, passes, shots, possessions and results.
But between the events and the outcome, things happen that are harder to describe.
A team begins to lose its shape before it loses the ball.
An attack becomes dangerous before the shot.
A player creates value partly by preventing a worse situation from appearing.
FSL proposes a vocabulary for describing them.
Not as a replacement for data, tactics, or existing football language.
The question is:
Does having better words produce better distinctions?
